Separating young in the Valley

Fortitude Valley is small, dense and young. Its 2021 Census population was 9,708 across just 1.4 square kilometres, up almost 40% in five years, which makes it one of the fastest-growing pockets in inner Brisbane. The median age is only 31, the youngest of any suburb we serve, and just 18% of homes are owner-occupied, the lowest owner rate in the inner north. It is overwhelmingly a suburb of renters and recent first-home apartment buyers, which is why the typical matter is a young de facto couple and a single apartment.

Domestic and family violence protection orders are the exception, generally dealt with in the Queensland Magistrates Court.
